Manage end-to-end quality and regulatory testing program for all non-cosmetic categories – including apparel, accessories, footwear, beauty implements, jewelry and watch, housewares, decorative and gift, and juvenile products. Oversees quality management for annual SKUs totaling up to $140 million in gross annual sales for all categories.Manage end to end review and approval processes, working with cross functional partners at all stage gates: design and technical review, pre-production testing, and final inspection of finished goods.Develop and manage testing program protocols for entire fashion and home product lines, managing more than 100 separate protocols.Approve and manage $1 million annual third party inspection agency testing, inspection and factory audit budget.Review all testing reports for failures, working closely with vendors to solve problems and ensure on-time delivery of goods.Track supplier metrics to determine actual inspection costs. Work with Third Party Testing Agency to collect accurate data for these metrics. Work with suppliers to improve KPIs and reduce defects at inspection while maintaining cost of goods and margin targets.Review product failures at point of discovery – at distribution centers, via customer care center feedback, or any other channel of complaint or inquiry. Research and report on specific failed goods and where necessary, lead efforts to quarantine, rework or recall products following established procedures.Monitor pending or proposed state and federal consumer product regulatory requirements and propose changes or actions to testing regimens or reporting procedures that may be required due to new requirements.
