Post acquisition of 2 market leaders in the communications space, Spectrum built a corporate standard telecommunications platform on Cisco. I was contracted to manage the project from initial sites contact thru turn over to support. The strategic direction of unifying the telephony platform has streamlined support, reduced cost, and added considerable features to the existing toolset. However, transition from a handset to a soft phone can be a hard sell for many users. Through empathy, voice of the customer skills, and technical knowledge of the product I have been able to gain the trust of my stakeholders. Adoption of the project to date has been very positive. These tools I have developed over my career have not only helped me to ensure programs but also to educate my customers on the benefits of change. This has been an enjoyable effort driving so many short term wins on the path to this strategic goal.
