ABOUT JOHN MIODOWSKI

I’m a shipbuilder at heart and an operations leader focused on delivering results in complex, high-accountability environments.I currently serve as Director of Ship Construction Management at Fincantieri Marinette Marine, supporting U.S. Navy shipbuilding programs. In this role, I lead cross-functional teams responsible for executing vessel construction, system integration, testing, and delivery—driving performance across cost, schedule, and quality in a mission-critical environment.Prior to returning to Fincantieri, I was the Plant Manager at Cruisers Yachts, where I led multi-department operations across lamination, assembly, and production teams building premium American-made yachts. I was responsible for driving operational performance, developing high-performing teams, and delivering consistent quality across a multi-site organization.Earlier in my career at Fincantieri Marinette Marine, I held several key leadership roles including IPDA Delivery Manager for LCS-5 USS Milwaukee, Ship Superintendent for LCS-11, 15, and 19, and Waterfront Production Manager. In these positions, I was responsible for cost, schedule, system integration, testing, sea trials, and final delivery to the U.S. Navy.My experience spans both yacht manufacturing and naval shipbuilding, allowing me to bridge craftsmanship with disciplined, mission-driven execution. I thrive in environments where accountability, structure, and teamwork drive results.Technically, I bring a strong foundation in CAD/CAM tools including Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD, along with practical marine engineering knowledge. As a leader, I prioritize communication, ownership, and continuous improvement.I hold an Associate Degree in CAD/CADD Design Technology from Northern Michigan University and am currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Applied Leadership (Spring 2027).At the core of everything I do is a commitment to building great ships—and stronger teams.
