ABOUT JOHN MICHAEL CHANDASH
I am a Pre-Law student at the University of Alabama on the majoring in Political Science and German with minors in Global Health and the Liberal Arts. I am a honors college college student through the Blount Scholars Program, a rigorous UA Honors program designed to facilitate advanced critical thinking skills.My interest in politics began at the high-school level, when I served as president of Vestavia Hills High School\'s Young Politicians. Through VHHS Young Politicians, I enfranchised voter registration in the Vestavia Hills community, successfully registering approximately 100 seniors in my class to vote. I maintained my political interest at Alabama\'s Youth in Government, passing a faux bill that would provide clean energy alternatives to North Alabama. At the Capstone, I have continued my involvement through the Crossroads, Greek Ambassadors, and the Student Government Association, leveraging these platforms to advocate for meaningful change within the university community. It is a personal goal of mine to utilize my leadership roles to service as many individuals as possible through efforts such as increasing student well-being and on-campus resources
