Manage acreage assets across Hathaway’s Kern County portfolio, assist with land aspect of financial filings and investor presentations. •Acquisitions and divestitures. • Negotiate, analyze and execute acquisition/divestiture deals; draft PSAs JOAs, Farmouts, Assignments, etc. • Commission and review mineral and surface ownership reports and title opinions. Confirm Net Revenue Interest and Working Interest for all existing wells and PUDs. Preform curative work for title defects as needed. • Negotiate and draft Surface Use Agreement, obtain waivers and fulfill notification requirements instituted by the county/state. Oversee drill pad site proposals, surveying and staking in preparation for new drills. • Experience dealing with governing bodies and regulatory agencies for various permitting processes; new drill permitting, parcel map applications, conditional waivers, aquifer exemptions, etc. Various bodies include the Division of Oil, Gas and Geothermal Resources (DOGGR), Kern County Planning and Natural Resources Department, the San Joaquin Valley Air Pollution Control District, and State and Regional Water Quality Control Boards. • Handle the leasing of surface acreage for radio tower sites. Negotiation of terms, FAA/FCC filings, Conditional Use Permits. • Negotiate and acquire mineral leases & surface use agreements with landowners in target areas of Kern County. Map & lease files creation. Gained knowledge of competition & resources in California. Negotiate provisions including the term, rental, option, bonus, royalty rate, drilling obligations, commingling, and surface use. •Due Diligence for newly acquired assets; review ownership and acreage, leases, assignments, contracts, and title opinions. Assess and report obligations, cure any outstanding obligations.
