Over 32 years of corporate restructuring experience in both Canada and the US, acting for companies, lenders and other stakeholders in distressed and turnaround situations.I have extensive cross border experience, having worked on numerous formal and informal US and cross border assignments.Recent public engagements include the financial adviser to the secured lenders in the Comark CCAA, the court appointed monitor of the Clarkson townhome development, monitor/receiver of two Cresford Group condominiums under construction, financial advisor to a major stakeholder in the Strategic Property Group CCAA/Receivership, financial advisor to the DIP Lenders of Essar Steel Algoma Inc, court appointed monitor of Laricina Energy, League Assets, Lone Pine Resources, Poseidon Concepts, financial advisor to the secured creditors of Yellow Media, court appointed monitor of Fraser Papers Inc, Information Officer with respect to Bowe, Bell+Howell\'s Part IV CCAA proceedings, proposal trustee of Poraver North America Inc, financial advisor to Smurfit Stone Container Company in respect of its Canadian Chapter 11 and CCAA filings, financial advisor to a syndicate of lenders of Allen Vanguard Inc, and court appointed financial advisor in respect of the Canadian Asset Backed Commercial Paper restructuring.I was recently recognized as a 2025 Thought Leader in the Canadian Restructuring and Insolvency market by Lexology.I am a Certified Insolvency and Restructuring Advisor (CIRA) in the US, a Chartered Insolvency and Restructuring Practionner (CIRP) in Canada, and a Licensed Insolvency Trustee (LIT) in Ontario. I am also a Chartered Professional Accountant in Canada (CPA.CA), as well as a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales (FCA). I am a member of the Insolvency Institute of Canada. I am also a member of the Toronto Construction Association, American Bankruptcy Institute and the Turnaround Management Association.Specialties: domestic and cross border restructurings with significant experience in the construction, real estate, pulp/paper, manufacturing and logistics industries.
