For more than 23 years, John McCorkle has provided expert-level advice regarding contaminated land management in over twenty states, multiple countries, and on more than 300 sites. He specializes in review of contaminated sites for claims, litigation, and cost-recovery actions for clients in the Industry, Planning Development, Oil and Gas, and Advisory/Litigation sectors under state and federal law. His expertise includes site characterization, remediation and redevelopment estimates, and forensic cost analysis; development of innovative remedial strategies to quickly return properties to beneficial use; and evaluation of contaminant sources and costs based on likely time of releases to the environment. He has experience with approaches to age-date releases, regulatory compliance, contaminant fate-and-transport,\"owner\'s engineering\" services, emerging contaminants, site-specific and programmatic review of and optimization of remediation programs, and contamination- and spills sections of environmental permitting under NEPA. Mr. McCorkle is an expert on the Model Toxics Control Act (including being selected to the Ecology’s Stakeholder and Tribal Advisory Group on behalf of NAIOP, providing input on the ongoing revisions to MTCA), has contributed to and/or is cited in regulatory and technical guidance documents, including the Washington Department of Ecology’s Guidance for the Remediation of Petroleum Contaminated Sites and their Vapor Intrusion guidance as well as ASTM Standards.
