ABOUT JOHN MAUEL
Over 30 years experience representing clients in their development, financing, acquisition, and divestiture of domestic and international LNG, oil & gas, and electric power projects, including the consortium structuring and joint venture arrangements involved in such projects.I practiced in Houston, Texas throughout my career with the exception of 2008 to 2010 when I resided in London. This gave me the opportunity to represent Houston-based clients in connection with their energy projects and transactions as the industry evolved from the consolidation of the US oil and gas industry during the late 80s, through the US PURPA power plants during the early 90s, the global power privatizations during the mid-90s, the US LNG import projects during the and the US LNG export project and shale oil and gas boom. My clients included international, national and independent oil and gas companies, asset management companies, and global energy trading companies. Speaking engagements included (1) the Association of International Petroleum Negotiators US Chapter Meeting in Houston entitled \"Gas Half Full, Gas Half Empty: Global Opportunities for US LNG\"(April 2018);(2) the International Fiscal Association Energy Tax Symposium in Houston (February 2018), where I participated on a panel entitled \"The LNG Industry: US LNG and Global Transformation\"; and (3) the Association of International Petroleum Negotiators 2017 International Petroleum Summit in Houston (May 2017), where I moderated the natural gas session entitled \"The Bright Future of Worldwide Natural Gas - Positioning in a Challenging and Shifting Environment\".[ATTORNEY ADVERTISING.
