His remit includes project delivery from design through construction and into operations; managing new grid connections with DNO/IDNOs, assembling and leading onsite delivery teams, stakeholder management including with government agencies, transport operators and legal parties and; line management of project managers. Most notably, John is delivering on the following projects:ScotZEB2• Responsible for the delivery of EV charging infrastructure, including new grid connections, to support 252 new electric bus and coach vehicles across Scotland (£7m works value) • Procurement and management of principal contractors and Independent Connection Providers (ICPs)• Installation of over 40 EV chargers across 8 depots operated by different transport operators • Gaining consents and wayleaves with DNO/IDNOs for over 3MVA of new grid supply to 6 transport depots• Stakeholder management, including with operational engineering teams, external funders and government agencies• Awarded in the category of Most Innovative Transport Project of the Year at the Scottish Transport Awards 2025
