Primary point of contact for management, business, and global technology teams addressing a wide range of x86 Server and virtualisation SME related queries. These include technical issues, roadmaps, security concerns, licensing matters, x86 hardware, operational challenges, design and architecture queries.Maintain Supplier Relationships with Vendors.Design and document HSBC Virtualisation Bootstrap Recovery processes for virtualisation.Design of Test Capability Uplift environments to make sure HSBC can deploy, upgrade and release patches into its production environments safely and reduce risk and adhere to compliance and regulatory requirements.Maintain relationships with Virtualisation and x86 Hardware consumers within HSBC Including Service owners, Engineering teams, Networks, Cybersecurity and business areas who consume our services and products.Approve or reject Architecture Technology approvals and dispensations for Solution designs, service Placements and Technology selections for x86 Hardware and Virtualisation.Maintain Product Roadmap and Lifecycle management timelines within HSBC and with Vendors.Managing Product feature sets and raise stories to Engineering for them to develop new features.Product evergreening planning, including plans to replace old x86 Server Hardware for newer models, ensuring NetZero is considered and introducing more resilient and robust server hardware to protect HSBC Services.Update and reviewing Product standards to ensure they are fit for purpose.License management of VMware products, maintaining licenses and reporting on consumption globally, working with vendor for license consumption planning and regional teams for allocations into production.HSBC Global Enterprise Engineer Programme (EEP) Alumni.
