If there is one passion that drives me professionally, it’s using technology to solve problems. Like many people’s passions, my love of all things technology can be traced back to childhood. I was ten years old when I got my first computer - a Spectrum 48k. I can still remember the excitement and intrigue I felt back then; the challenge of figuring out what it could do and how it worked. That feeling and passion remain a part of me to this day.But today, that passion has evolved. While a fundamental love of technology is still there, it has a new dimension. It affords me the opportunity to fulfil another passion of mine - to help people.Wherever possible, I share my passions with whoever I can. From public presentations to fostering talent in the next generation, I want others to experience the same enjoyment and thrill as I did. You can even sometimes find me on Stack Overflow giving out whatever advice I can.At Createk, we look to solve the unique technological challenges faced by many businesses, providing solutions that get to the very core of day-to-day problems. Especially given everything we’ve recently faced, businesses can no longer ignore the potential technology has for bridging gaps, minimising inefficiencies, and modernising processes. We’re here to show you what’s possible and make these possibilities a reality for your business.My career has allowed me to view everything from multiple angles, with me progressing through a number of roles in my journey: developer, technical lead, scrum master, solution architect, and now business owner. The last one, in particular, has given me insight into the common issues many other businesses face and has made the solutions I can provide even stronger for it.Many people can build a web or mobile application, that’s no secret. But I think it takes something special to be able to sit and listen to a set of problems and then work as a cohesive unit to solve them and provide a long-term, valuable solution.
