About John Lucas

Data and analytics combined with rigorous process analysis and focused leadership have punctuated my career - plus a diverse set of experiences:Working with Private Equity partners: CheckOperationalizing data and analytics across a global company: CheckManaging a department of blue and white collar staff: CheckWorking \"in the field\" to learn a business from the ground up: CheckSolving problems is a passion of mine; this led to a degree in Mechanical Engineering and a career helping businesses analyze and improve profitability. A drive to find innovative ways of combining technology and business took me from managing construction projects in Wyoming and Kansas, to Europe to integrate industry-leading companies, to spearheading multi-million-dollar EBITDA improvement projects alongside private equity sponsors. Along the way I\'ve been honored with several fantastic mentors who shaped my definition of leadership and underscored the importance of mentorship. My formal leadership training includes an MBA sponsored by Private Equity firm Clayton, Dublier, and Rice (CD & R).I believe most organizations have untapped potential in their human assets, and I believe that the missing piece of the puzzle is strong leadership and a sense of uniform direction. To that end I strive to make sure my team members not only understand their role, but how their actions impact company goals and how they can make a different beyond their immediate workspace.I also believe lateral leadership and failures in communication create significant roadblocks to the type of cross-functional programs necessary to stay competitive in modern markets; which has invigorated my principles of candor, trust, and transparency.Outside of the office I\'m busy helping my wife raise our two kids (vintage 2020 and 2022), exercising early in the morning and trying to get on my mountain bike on the weekends!
