ABOUT JOHN LLOYD
My training contract is drawing to a close and during which I have sat three seats: commercial property, civil litigation and residential property. I have gained experience within these different areas of law and would like to seek post-qualification roles in commercial property. Throughout this time I gained a deeper understanding of commercial property transactions including franchise agreements, options agreements, and conditional contracts on planning permissions which I enjoyed as they are fascinating to me. I enjoy getting involved in the drafting these types of agreements. During my civil litigation seat I learnt about the changing landscape for the private rented sector through the Renter\'s Rights Bill and how to conduct landlord and tenant possession proceedings. My residential seat taught me so much about case management and regulation and compliance with AML procedures. I learnt to conduct freehold and leasehold sales including all requirements when acting on behalf of lenders. I am looking to join a firm which supports my continued growth and enables me to further develop the skills I have learnt through my training contract.
