Representing title insurance companies in the examination of title and preparation of title opinions for commercial real estate located throughout North and South Carolina. Experience in structuring, negotiating and documenting loans, equity investments and grants involving a variety of federal and state tax credits, including the federal low-income housing tax credit (LIHTC), the historic rehabilitation tax credit (HTC), and the new markets tax credit (NMTC). General business practice encompasses entity choice and formation, equity structures, and negotiation and preparation of shareholder agreements, operating agreements and service contracts.
