ABOUT JOHN KYLE
I graduated in medicine from the University of Glasgow in 2007 having previously completed a BSc (Hons) in Toxicology and an M.Res in Biomedical Science. I then spent 2 years in foundation training in the West of Scotland before undertaking core surgical training in Yorkshire obtaining MRCS in 2010. Following this I spent one year as a clinical research fellow in trauma and orthopaedics in Northern Deanery before starting GP training in Ayrshire in 2012. In 2014/2015 I took a year out of GP training to undertake a Scottish Clinical Leadership Fellowship. After obtaining MRCGP and completing GP training in 2016, I spent 2 years working as a GP Academic Clinical Fellow at the University of Glasgow where I was also a 2nd year MBChB Vocational Studies Tutor. I have previously worked with NHS Education for Scotland as a First 5 CPD Advisor and with RCGP Scotland as a Local Advocate focussing on quality improvement and cluster working. I have also previously been a member of BMA Scottish Council, the Scottish GP Committee (SGPC), RCGP West of Scotland Faculty Board and RCGP AiT/First 5 Committee.I am currently a GP partner in a large practice in Glasgow which I combine with sessional work for Dr Newman\'s Clinic specialising in the treatment of thread veins. I am also a current member of the NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde GP Subcommittee and Glasgow Local Medical Committee (LMC).
