Honens prepares its Laureates for the rigours and realities of professional careers in music and creates opportunities for growth and exposure. The annual Honens Festival is one of Canada’s premier classical music events, intended to share Mrs. Honens’ love of world renowned music with Albertans every year.

Music connects the brain and the heart and I have dedicated my life to bringing that connection to all. With this mission, I have grown music and education institutions both financially and artistically, while helping them to achieve status as a highly regarded brand, in their communities, nationally and internationally. This is complex and nuanced hard work. I have collaborated extensively with Board, Executive, and Artistic teams in crafting a clear vision and goals, and have developed strategy and led the rigorous execution of groundbreaking, award-winning programs.
