John M. Kenney – Owner of U.S. Lawns in Greenville, Spartanburg & Anderson, SC:John earned a B.S. degree in mechanical engineering at Clemson University in 1998. After graduation he joined Milliken as an engineer supporting equipment maintenance and facilities in Spartanburg, SC. In he joined GE Power (Industrial Gas Turbines) as operations leader, was promoted in 2007 and again two years later to CoE Leader for Combustion & Repair. In 2013 he transferred as Plant Manager in Bangor, ME. In 2015 he returned to Greenville as the Rotors & Airfoils LCOE leader responsible for NPI and Cost. In 2016 he become the Global Power Purchasing leader for all Gas Turbine components. In January of 2019 he was named the Greenville Plant Manager responsible for all Manufacturing Operations in Greenville, SC. With his career successes in operations, budget management, and his passion for training & guiding teams as a foundation, he then decided to pursue his dream and became a business owner by purchasing three U.S. Lawns franchise locations in Greenville, Spartanburg and Anderson, SC.
