ABOUT JOHN KAYWOOD

With a Master\'s degree in Public Relations from Boston University and a passion for communications, community and public relations, I have developed a diverse skill set that enables me to create and execute effective campaigns for various clients and audiences. As an Assistant Account Executive at Prosek Partners, I conducted outreach for announcements and spokespeople for multi-million dollar corporations, securing and processing opportunities that resulted in coverage in publications such as The Wall Street Journal, Forbes, Fortune, Business Insider, and CNBC. I also turned news and trending topics into public relations opportunities for clients, impacting their public visibility and overall revenue. In addition to my PR skills, I have a strong background in social media, content creation, and event planning, which I applied in my previous roles as a Community Relations Specialist at City of Boston and a Podcast Team Lead at Boston University COMLab. I created and coordinated engaging content and events for various platforms and audiences, using video production, editing, and design tools. I also represented and collaborated with different departments and stakeholders, demonstrating my leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. My goal is to continue to learn and grow as a PR, communications, and marketing professional, and to contribute to the success and reputation of the organizations I work with.
