ABOUT JOHN J. PLUMMER

John has opened, owned and operated 4 businesses in the Portland Metro area starting with Johnny Sole Shoes in 1993 which was nationally recognized as a leader in showcasing quality, high end European fashion forward footwear for men and women in a beautiful retail location encompassing 2,675 sq ft in the iconic downtown Woodlark Building on SW 9th and Alder street (John sold the lease to a hotel developer in 2016). East Chinatown Lounge was opened in 2001 and was Portland\'s first \"high design\" nightclub in the Old Town neighborhood which soon transformed into the cities \"Nightclub District\"(John sold the business in June 2017).In 2003 John had the pleasure to partner with Jeff Kovel (owner of Skylab Architecture) and Mike Quinn (owner of Monqui Presents) to open the Doug Fir Restaurant and Lounge to great acclaim and fanfare in 2004. Regularly voted one of the best small live music venues in the country (Rolling Stone, Playboy, Spin), this local institution is listed in many print and online publications as a \"must visit\" spot for tourists and live music aficionados and is recognized as a driving force responsible for starting the current redevelopment boom of the lower East Burnside area. In 2015 with the State of Oregon passing legal recreational cannabis use John partnered with Michael S. Scarbrough and Steven Bailey (both extremely talented organic growers and \"seed crackers\" with 40 years of experience between them) to start up Bull Run Craft Cannabis. Located on a 64 acre historic farm outside of Boring, OR with amazing products and a respected reputation, we are building a brand and a hard working Team with the goal of increased market share and expansion to other legalized US States.
