Operational management of a business stream within Fundamentals that provides service support for an extensive range of tapchangers of both legacy and current brands.Over recent years Electricity Networks have seen a significant increase in the need for HV Electrical Equipment to operate bi-directionally due to embedded generation over the full voltage range. To maintain voltage levels Network Operators not only have the need for new or updated Automatic Voltage Control (AVC) schemes but they also need to ensure critical equipment such as tapchangers are capable of operating in increasingly demanding electrical networks.As such, Fundamentals using both in-house and specialist partner resources have developed a full Tapchanger Service offer covering Inspections, Maintenance, Refurbishment, Upgrades, Repairs and Reverse Power Assessments. This business is very much complimentary to its AVC activity and the intention is for it to continue to grow both organically and through strategic acquisition in the coming years.
