At FlexXray my responsibilities include both servicing existing customers/projects as well as to extend the recognition and reach of FlexXray. FlexXray provides world class inspection and recovery services for food companies. We have highly customized machines and processes built specifically to find contaminants like metal, glass, wood, gasket material, stone, plastic, and rubber in food products of all type. We can find contaminants down to 0.8mm. We can also do weighing, repackaging, relabeling, stamping, or other activities that need to take place in order for our customers to get their product out successfully. This inspection process takes place in one of our 3 facilities: Arlington TX, Guilford CT, and now Chicago IL.Our detection limits are far superior to in-line systems. We use medical grade technology, developed in house, running at very slow speeds (3-4ft/min). This technology allows us to detect down to that 0.8mm threshold and smaller. When our customers get “hits” on their in-line metal detectors or x-ray systems, they bracket and quarantine the product to send to us for further inspection. I establish relationships with Quality Control Specialists and Food Safety Administrators to ensure that the product they produce and we inspect is up to the standards/guidelines of FSMA and HACCP. Each job request we encounter is unique, which is why I partner with these individuals to make sure I first understand and then successfully execute the task. Throughout the whole process we will be in constant contact in order to ensure satisfaction.
