About John Havard
I have product development and technical leadership experience in the medical/life science, aerospace, industrial, and consumer industries, with a strong cross-disciplinary understanding gained from a wide variety of projects, with many successes, some failures, and plenty of learning and adventure along the way.I have tackled challenging designs and difficult engineering problems on products from computers to wearable consumer devices to complex industrial machines. I have built and managed talented, creative, successful technical teams. I co-founded a small bio-instrumentation company that was successfully acquired. I taught high school physics and mathematics,sparking interest in students to pursue scientific and techical careers. I enjoy building lasting teams and products, along with new challenges when the time is right.

Currently lead the Lunar Permanance Electrical Power and Control team.Previously managed and guided the New Shepard Avionics Engineering team for ~5 years. Led the Electrical, RF, Power, Electronics Packaging (Mechanical), FPGA Firmware, and Harnessing teams in vehicle design engineering and avionics flight operations support. As a team, we achieved first-human flight and multiple successful human and payload missions.
