About John H. Walker

I am seeking a Full-Time remote or hybrid position in the field of learning and development, instructional design, or education program management. My background includes a wide range of experiences that uniquely position me to be an asset to an organization seeking L&D and/or program management talent. I am fast learner, am technologically savvy, and strive for continuous improvement.I completed my undergraduate studies in Civil and Environmental Engineering and started my career as a Field Engineer. I returned to graduate school and received my teaching credential and Master of Education from UCLA. Most recently, I was a Knowles Fellow using my experience developing the engineering pathway at Dr. Maya Angelou Community High School in South Central Los Angeles to continue the development of the Technology, Engineering, and Design Pathway in Southern School of Energy and Sustainability in Durham, NC.

1. Technical Curriculum Developer

   May 2022 — Present

   Developed the first project based course in the curriculum-Revamped tutorial playlist training to create a storyline for learners to follow and create their own models. This set the example for other playlist revamps-Revamped five of the fundamentals training courses to be offered in a Self-guided modality.
