ABOUT JOHN GUSHUE
I am the senior producer (digital) for CBC News in Newfoundland and Labrador. I am also a trainer with the company. I\'ve been a full-time journalist since 1985, and have worked across multiple media lines, including newspapers, TV, radio, magazines and — especially — digital. I\'ve worked with CBC in various capacities for more than 25 years combined, and have been working in digital with CBC News since 2004. My professional experience in digital, though, dates back to the pioneering days, and I\'ve been an innovator in digital trends through my career. I also work as a trainer with CBC\'s Learning & Development department, and have over the years have developed or led courses and workshops on writing, copy editing, breaking news, interviewing and more. I contribute frequently to CBC programs on radio and television in Newfoundland and Labrador, and have guest-hosted several CBC Radio programs, including CrossTalk, On The Go and the St. John\'s Morning Show.
