I am an R&D leader in agricultural microbiology focused on translating plant hologenomics into shelf-stable microbial products that deliver consistent performance, are easy to use, and come at a price that makes sense for growers.My work bridges microbial bioprospecting and strain characterization, product development, and quality control - areas that must be integrated to successfully build scalable biological platforms. Our multidisciplinary team ensures alignment between formulation stability, manufacturing realities, regulatory expectations, and field performance for our microbial products.Beyond BiOWiSH, I have worked as an industry steward advocating for increased attention to composition verification and real-world stability testing requirements for microbial products. Through collaborations with The Fertilizer Institute, the American Association of Plant Food Control Officials (AAPFCO), and the Association of Official Analytical Collaboration (AOAC International), and convening TC-134 Working Group #5 for the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), my goal is to help drive the industry towards a fair, science-based framework for claims verification that will help ensure that growers get their moneys\' worth when they buy microbial products. My scientific perspective is strongly influenced by the Hologenome Concept of Evolution. By combining new perspectives on microbiome science with a strong focus on batch-to-batch consistency and stability through the supply chain, I believe we can develop practical biological solutions that deliver measurable value in agriculture.
