Police executive, public safety, security professional w/ an extensive background in city policing and criminal investigations. 25-year veteran of the Phila Police Dept who was assigned to 6 police divisions and 12 districts, divisions, special units while holding 5 ranks (Capt, Lt, Sgt, Det, P/O). Served as Capt of 3 commands in Special Ops (Gun Permits, Major Crimes, Homeland Security), 3 investigative commands (Northeast Detectives, North Detectives, East Detectives), 1 patrol command (18th Dist). Detailed to Homicide 3 times. Holds MS in Criminal Justice/Police Admin and graduated from 3 command schools (Univ of Virginia FBI National Academy, Northwestern Univ, School of Police Staff & Command, Police Executive Research Forum Senior Management Institute for Police), 1 middle management training module (POLEX) and 1 first-line supervisory class (POSIT) w/ Penn State Univ Justice & Safety Institute. Experience, education in police, public safety and security management.Recognized as Capt of 18th Dist for a 5-Day Shooting Plan that resulted in a 74% reduction in homicide and a 33% decrease in violent crime during 2008 in city\'s busiest patrol dist. Law enforcement executive who knew that practical application must be enhanced by continued learning in higher ed and command training. Served as the Director of Public Safety at St Joseph\'s Univ where he helped to plan and coordinate the Pope\'s historic visit in Fall 2015.
