After a traumatic injury as a teenager, I dropped out of high school and left home to live the California dream. I slept in my car, ate canned food, and worked as a busboy and waiter. At age 25 I decided to start my own business out of my apartment based on a cutting tool my father had engineered and designed for use in the manufacturing process, an industry I knew nothing about. I patented the design, and by “boot-strapping” my new business and using guerrilla marketing I now sell my product to the US Military, NASA, Lockheed Martin, Ford Motor, the FAA and thousands of other major companies.I am thrilled to embark on the next step in my entrepreneurial journey by founding MendaCel, Inc. a patent-pending medical device and the future standard of wound care and elderly bathing, and yet another brilliant invention engineered by my dad.
