About John Andre Fortich
Since I was a child, I have always had a fascination with technology. As I explored the web and interacted with countless websites like YouTube, mobile applications, and video games, wonder and curiosity filled my mind as to how these technologies really worked behind the screen. Ever since I took my first programming class, I got hooked on the process of planning, coding, and debugging as it felt like the world\'s greatest puzzle with infinite puzzle sets. I wish to be part of and add to the vast and seemingly endless knowledge of the field of Computer Science as I am excited for the future technologies that will arise. Throughout my life, I have always loved to solve problems and Software Engineering is a way I found to express it. The hunt for the moments when vague ideas turn into plans and plans become reality is one of the things that keep pulling me to this field. I am currently a freshman Computer Science Student at North Carolina State University in Raleigh, North Carolina currently working on a team conducting undergraduate research at NCSU in the Game2LearnLab. We are utilizing a block-based programming game called BOTs to analyze, draft, and present the benefits of learning individually or through pair programming. Through my classes at NC State and my research experience, I am a competent programmer who works well under pressure and cohesively with others. I am seeking internships this summer in the fields of Software Engineering, Data Science, and Machine Learning. Skills: Java Python R Technology: Eclipse VSCode
