Responsibilities - Leader of Cyber Defense program supporting Lumen enterprise • Define and implement the strategy for security incident response and drive effective program execution. • Drive requirements for security monitoring and analytics capabilities and continuously assess the effectiveness of existing technologies. • Oversee incident management, drive response activities, coordinate efforts across the organization, and ensure effective incident communications. • Ensure compliance requirements are met through effective security monitoring and response control implementation. Providing 24x7 detection and response capabilities through the monitoring of a Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) as a means to identify malicious activity from both internal employees and external attackers. Conduct incident scope identification, containment, remediation, and recovery actions for identified cyber threats that could include the analysis of malware, network indicators, forensic analysis, and the design and implementation of detective or preventative mechanisms. Develop relationships and engage with industry partners, Security Information Exchanges, and other groups to gather and share relevant threat intelligence and indicators. Program includes Incident Response team, Red/Blue Hunt Teams, enterprise and compliance pentesting, forensic investigation support, AUP enforcement, law enforcement support
