Lead the implementation of EHS initiatives and strategies to maintain compliance and reduce risk, including but not limited to the areas of: OSHA, ergonomics, injury / illness reduction, hazard communication, environmental, emergency preparedness, PSM, and general employee safety • Set tactical and strategic direction and provide leadership for the EHS department. • Ensure EHS team is keeping a tactical focus on value-added tasks. • Actively participate on the NA Operational Leadership Teams, providing unbiased feedback and direction for the site. • Maintains communication with corporate EHS to keep abreast of strategic initiatives and expectations, and to provide guidance and feedback regarding all corporate initiatives and expectations. • Develop and lead the sites’ sustainability initiatives. • Leads the EHS budget development process annually and provides monthly spending analysis reports as necessary. • Participates in the development and prioritization of capital expense spending budget and sites’ plan. • Ensure compliance for two Title V Air Permits manufacturing locations. • Partners with maintenance, engineering, and operations teams as necessary on Management of Change (MOC), Mechanical Integrity, and all other PSM programs as necessary. • Defines and manages the EHS training needs for all site associates and contractors. • Ensures all training is completed according to established training plan. • Participates in EHS professional organizations and networks to foster new learning and best practices / technology information sharing, as well as stay abreast of all regulatory changes.
