An Indigenous Relations, Community Consultation and Communications Specialist with 25 years of diverse government, corporate, and consultancy experience:• Negotiated, provided strategic advice to support more than 100 accommodation, communication protocol, capacity-funding, cultural study, and contracting agreements• Nurtured, facilitated, and administered a relationship between, the Ktunaxa Nation\'s Nupqu Development Corporation and an environmental consultancy• Negotiated and implemented mutually-beneficial Memorandum of Understanding, and various contracting mechanisms with Nupqu Development Corporation• Worked with and have connections with more than 60 Indigenous groups in BC and AB• Built relationships and negotiated and implemented agreements while managing and resolving emerging issues • Hired, managed, and coordinated Indigenous contractors and community members to conduct cultural, archaeology and environmental studies• Managed and administered Indigenous small business contracts, and training and logistics to support projects, corporate objectives and Indigenous capacity-building• Provided effective strategic consultation, communications, and capacity-building advice• Prepared winning proposals, budgets, work plans, reports• Collaborated with regulators, program managers, and Indigenous groups, and wrote and secured or advanced regulatory approvals for marine, mining, and linear projects, including BC’s first Integrated Pest Management Plans and 15 Indigenous community energy and water use planning projects• Led individuals and teams to consecutively engage and consult with dozens of Indigenous communities• Designed and created dozens of Indigenous and public consultation and communication strategies, plans, and products• Prepared and secured approval of more than 100 provincial permit approvals for power and rail infrastructure projects and maintenance programs• Designed and implemented dozens of Indigenous and stakeholder consultation programs, consultation strategies, plans, and events• Wrote, senior-reviewed, and managed Indigenous-related sections BC EAO, CEA Agency, NEB, and BC OGC environmental assessment applications for pipelines, mines, power projects, railways, and infrastructure projects• Documented thousands of consultation events and activities, supervised data entry, and managed stakeholder and Indigenous consultation databases
