My responsibilities include screening individuals for appropriateness and eligibility for treatment and coordinating admission to the appropriate level of service. Verification of health insurance coverage and benefits. Providing family support throughout the treatment of individuals with substance abuse issues. Intervening with patients during the transition period. Coordinating all transportation for all levels of care throughout the facility. Developing policies and procedures for the Admissions Department\'s handling of phone calls and admitting of patients. Coordinating with Utilization Review and the Billing departments to ensure coverage and claims approval. Assisting and completing all requirements for patients with FMLA, COBRA and Short Term Disability issues.
