ABOUT JOHN DIGIROLOMO
John DiGirolomo is the Senior Vice President for Facilities and Real Estate, Chief Facilities Officer at St. Barnabas Health System in New York City. He is a Fellow with the American Society for Healthcare Engineering (ASHE), a Certified Healthcare Facility Manager (CHFM), a Certified Healthcare Safety Professional (CHSP) and a Certified Healthcare Emergency Professional (CHEP). He has served for three years as President of the Healthcare Facilities Management Society of New Jersey, a local chapter of ASHE and was a member of the Board of Directors of the American Society for Healthcare Engineering. In his role at St. Barnabas, John is responsible for a nine and a half acre campus housing a 460 bed acute care hospital with a Level 2 Trauma Center, as well as primary care centers located throughout the Bronx. John has held various positions in healthcare facilities management since 1981. John was a Life Safety Code Surveyor for the Joint Commission for over 10 years, a member of the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) and serves on NFPA 25 technical committee. Board member of AHA Certification Center for the CHFM designation, Vice Chair of the 2014 Advocacy Committee, the 2008 & 2009 Safety, Security, Emergency Preparedness and Disaster Recovery Committee Chair and Member of the 2008 Advocacy Committee for the American Society for Healthcare Engineering. He is also a member of the Joint Industry Panel for the MS Degree in Healthcare Systems Management at the New Jersey Institute of Technology and holds degrees in Electrical Technology, Economics and Business Administration.
