About John Delgado

A graduate of the Engineering Technology program at Texas A&M University in College Station, I earned my B.S. degree in 1994. Since then I have accumulated over 20 years of experience providing software development/implementation, support, QA, and PM expertise for multiple major IT projects nationwide and internationally.I am best suited for long term career roles - ones in which I will be an active contributor to the successful implementation of enterprise projects and where I will continue to increase both my business knowledge and my skill set expertise.My skills includes advanced level T-SQL query writing, database tuning and support, application development and support in object oriented languages - especially C, C++, and Powerbuilder. Data analytics using Alteryx and Python, supporting SharePoint sites, and reporting using Tableau. I have heavy experience in the energy industry overall and specifically in the natural gas transportation business and ETRM spaces - but I am open to changing to an entirely new industry altogether.I have excellent communication and people skills and I always form strong, supportive work relationships with my colleagues. Having many times been challenged with new concepts and technical environments, I developed and continue to maintain an ability to rapidly learn new project specifics and quickly become a contributor to success. My degree in Engineering combined with my natural preference to approach problems logically are the keys to the success I have enjoyed in the consulting space; my experience is well rounded and my addition to a project would be a net positive towards project success.As mentioned above, I have worked in other states and overseas - I am open to long term travel and relocation for the right opportunity.
