In my role as a Tax Director I help the firm\'s clients to reduce the burden of tax, and strive to add value to their business via the tax system. My team and I routinely provide advice and assistance to clients to help them subsidise their efforts to innovate in their business. We achieve this by obtaining valuable funding using the Research and Development Tax Credit regime. In addition, I provide a wide range of tax advice and support. Whilst the focus of the advice I provide predominantly relates to corporation tax, I regularly advise on key tax considerations for business owners and stakeholders - particularly around profit extraction and succession. Recent assignments include (but are not limited to);> Advice in relation to group restructuring, both in connection with tax efficient profit extraction and business succession planning. This includes obtaining for advance clearance from HMRC, where appropriate;> Designing and implementing tax efficient EMI share schemes;> Structuring the acquisition of properties for development or investment, including advice to mitigate SDLT liabilities and any ongoing compliance obligations under the ATED regime; and> Transaction support, in relation to both acquisitions and disposals.Bishop Fleming is a member of the Kreston International network of accountancy firms, through which we have global reach to support your international business, accounting and tax needs.
