ABOUT JOHN DAVIS
I am pleased to be serving as the Interim Head of School at Ada Christian School in Ada, MI.Previously, I spent 36 years in Christian school leadership. I was the head administrator at four different schools in three states (Indiana, Michigan, and Wisconsin). My previous school, Heritage Christian Schools, had approximately 670 students in grades PK-12. The school experienced a great deal of financial stability and growth after I became the President in 2013. Enrollment grew about 30% and we purchased a new campus in New Berlin, WI in November 2014 for $1.75 million. We added a $4.6M gymnasium and cafeteria in 2022.Through the years I have had experience with accreditation, including serving as team chairperson, and participating on many team visits through North Central (AdvancED) and ACSI (Association of Christian Schools International). I led my first school toward becoming accredited and every school I\'ve served at since that time has been accredited. Heritage is accredited through ACSI. In addition to consulting, I currently serve as a Field Director for ACSI. Previously, I served as an ACSI district representative for the state of Wisconsin from 20••••22 and formerly held the same position for two years in the state of Michigan. In conjunction with those roles I have served on two boards: WCRIS (Wisconsin Council of Religious and Independent Schools) and MANS (Michigan Association of Non-public Schools). I also served as the treasurer on the WCRIS board for six years. I have also had the opportunity to meet with state legislators regarding the successful expansion of the state voucher program.Areas in which I feel I have a good deal of experience and expertise include: strategic planning, SWOT analysis, accreditation, educational leadership, board governance, school improvement, financial turnarounds, non-profit management, marketing, development, and blogging.
