IonicRF Generator (2017 – 2020). Staff Engineer. Technical mechanical lead over development of neural ablation device used in pain therapy clinics (currently in production). Thermal SME who engineered thermal solution for continuous high-power output with logic controlled cooling system that achieves quiet performance and long product life. Engineered shielding architecture and compliance to mechanical aspects of 60601-1 and 60•••22. Developed and executed custom HALT program to verify mechanical robustness. • Neurostimulator (20••••17, 20••••21). Staff Engineer. SME over pocket heating of new generation rechargeable neurostimulator. Developed In Vitro pocket heating test fixture following a human-body analogy, allowing great flexibility in what-if test scenarios of implant depth, total tissue thickness, charger placement, etc. Invented non-toxic and environmentally friendly human fat simulant. Headed animal study for fixture verification, co-authoring the protocol with excellent correlation results. Developed Monte Carlo simulation of patient charging to estimate potential for tissue harm and charge session duration.
