ABOUT JOHN DALZIELL
I am a governance and safety professional with over 15 years’ experience in manufacturing, working across operational, site, regional and global roles within Diageo. I thrive in complex, high-risk environments where strong systems, capable people and practical leadership are critical. My experience includes process safety, COMAH compliance, risk management and the development of governance systems for permit to work, management of change, contractor control and COSHH. I have a track record of delivering improvements that are not only compliant on paper, but genuinely embedded in day-to-day operations.I hold an MSc in Safety and Risk Management from Heriot-Watt University and multiple NEBOSH qualifications, and I enjoy roles that sit at the intersection of people, systems and risk.Outside of work, I am passionate about charity and community involvement, including cycling the length of Britain twice in support of Marie Curie.
