The British Council is the Government organisation specialising in international cultural and testing opportunities the latter of which is a $1bn multichannel retail business.I\'m responsible for all aspects of Service Delivery: Global Supply Chain, Sales and Operations Planning, Hub Operations, New Products route to market, TOMs, BAU IT. I lead the largest team in the central organisation.I play a major role in shaping the change agenda for the British Council to ensure thatprocess, systems, and functions keep pace with change – in response to customerdemand, technological shifts, competitor activities etc. I ensure the effective delivery of change programmes, ensuring key benefits aredelivered to the business within agreed timeframes, and in particular ensuring that changes to Organisation Design are implemented appropriately and within agreed timeframes tosecure full release of the required benefits I define and monitor delivery KPIs to ensure that the business is running efficiently andeffectively, ensuring that the customer experience is enhanced, and that margin andmargin improvements are achieved I work closely with the product teams to understand any new products or changes thatare emerging and design the subsequent supply chain requirements to meet those needsand manage and implement the associated business change I ensure that an effective ongoing business improvement cycle is implemented andfunctioning effectively on an ongoing basis I interface with corporate functions to ensure effective and efficient exams delivery andreporting e.g. Global Estates, Legal.
