I am a senior at Florida State University studying English and Philosophy on a pre-law track, with a focus on legal theory. My academic background has strengthened my analytical thinking and sharpened my writing, drafting, and editing skills, particularly as applied to real-world legal contexts.I have gained practical experience working at a workers’ compensation and personal injury firm, where I drafted and edited pleadings and motions, maintained billing and financial records, organized case files, and assisted in recovering attorneys’ fees through fee petitions. This role provided valuable exposure to court procedures and the day-to-day operations of legal practice.I further expanded my legal perspective through a fellowship program in Rome, where I explored areas including intellectual property, international arbitration, environmental law, and criminal law.Currently, I am interning with the 2nd Circuit Guardian ad Litem Office in Florida, where I support advocacy for at-risk children. In this role, I apply my drafting skills and observe court proceedings, gaining deeper insight into effective legal advocacy.Through my academic and professional experiences, I have developed a strong appreciation for the responsibility of legal representation and its impact. I am eager to continue growing in the legal field and to contribute meaningfully wherever I can make a difference.
