   I handle intellectual property (IP) matters for F5 Networks (F5), including patent and trademark transactional matters as well as any related IP litigation and licensing matters. My patent related responsibilities focus on developing, managing and building F5\'s internal patent program and patent portfolio, e.g, identifying technology to review for patent protection, overseeing patent committee review meetings, planning patent filing strategies, supervising patent application preparation and prosecution, responding to third party allegations, managing/evaluating patent acquisition opportunities, and managing patent acquisition due diligence. My trademark related responsibilities focus on ensuring F5\'s product and service brands are protected by developing, managing and implementing its trademark protection strategy, including overseeing outside trademark counsel, identifying new product/service brands to protect, evaluating current branding strategies, evaluating and responding to third party conflict issues, and counseling internal marketing and technical personnel with trademark issues.
