Career national security professional, senior leader, and retired law enforcement manager, with 20+ years of experience with the FBI, master’s degree in biological sciences, in-depth knowledge of criminal investigation, counterterrorism, counterproliferation, weapons of mass destruction, emergency management, crisis/disaster response, experienced in training international partners. Uniting the scientific, intelligence, and first responder communities for a safe and secure tomorrow. As a US delegate, I chaired the international Quadrilateral Technical Support Working Group on CBRN Field Forensics. Employed by MELE Associates Inc, contracted to NNSA, I currently support preventative nuclear and radiological detection efforts, radiological consequence management, radiological security, and nuclear forensics. Additional experience includes exercise planning I.e, USAID/DOE/DoD/DOS functional exercise execution simulating overseas natural disasters resulting in collateral accidents at a foreign Nuclear Power Plants (NPP). Building joint USAID/DOE/DoS/DoD teams to deploy and support humanitarian assistance and disaster relief operations in an environment compromised by radiation. Interests include the promises and pitfalls of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in counterterrorism and CBRNE/WMD, AI ethics, safety/security, and risk mitigation.
