ABOUT JOHN BEJJANI
I started programming at the age of 10 when my parents fortuitously gave me a Vic20 for Christmas in 1982. Nothing has been the same since. I matriculated to an Amiga 500, for which the first program I developed was a simple graphics drawing program written (by hand) on lined paper before I\'d even gotten the machine. My love affair with software design and development has not abated as I\'ve gotten older, and has provided me with a decades-long hobby which keeps my mind sharp, the rest of me happy, and my family rolling their eyes. I can put nearly anyone to sleep talking about OS primitives and the curse of thread deadlock. Though I can\'t prove it, I expect I dream in binary.I\'ve programmed in C, C++, Java, JavaScript, Prolog, ADA and a various processor assembly and microcode languages and when I\'ve been fortunate enough, microcode. I\'ve written multi-threading extensions to DOS, point-to-point protocols (RS232), text-based windowing GUIs, assemblers (linkers/loaders), TELNET client/server in Java, TL1 client (using TELNET client), a Logo variant in Java with swell Swing components, and a host of other projects to keep me challenged and entertained. These days - approximately the past 529 - I am involved in working with a super team at defining our product vision and working with R&D to make it happen. In between building and delivering presentations (internally and for conferences), supporting our global sales and sales engineers, I still find the time to stick my nose into software, where it no longer belongs. old habits die hard.
