As the Special Operations Commander I am in charge of two (2) Sergeants and fifteen (15) Traffic Homicide investigators that investigate all traffic homicides within a ten (10) County area (Desoto, Hardee, Highlands, Manatee, Sarasota, Charlotte, Glades, Hendry, Lee and Collier). I am also Commnander of our Contraband Interdiction Unit (CIU) Team which consists of one (1) Sergeant, Three (3) K-9s, Three (3) K-9 Handlers and three (3) Felony Officers for the ten county area. In addition to those duties, I also conduct all audits required by Florida Highway Patrol Policy and complete any audits or assignments assigned to me by the Troop Commander.
