ABOUT JOHN BARBER

I have a strong background in digital marketing and data analytics with an ability to conform marketing/sales techniques to any product or service within a diverse, team environment. I have hands on experience with digital and email marketing through my current position at Inbox Marketer Inc. Through these experiences, I have gained a strong grasp of: • Email Strategy • Design Optimization • Canadian Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL) • Multi-channel campaign strategy During my time at Inbox Marketer Inc. I aided in bringing the Messaging Science product to market. I was responsible for running and analyzing eye-tracking reports for various clients. I identified a number of correlations in the data that lead to design optimizations for a number of clients. These aided clients in deploying successful creatives into market. I have recently completed Business Administration – Marketing Coop at Conestoga College in Kitchener Ontario. I have gained a strong understanding of a number of marketing disciplines & software: • Adobe Creative Suites • Content management software • IBM’s SPSS • Proficient in database research with Allocate and Environics • Multi-channel marketing campaigns • Secondary research and target market identification • Time and project management within a team environment For the last two years, I have competed in the Ontario Colleges Marketing Competition in the retail strategy, direct marketing, and marketing research categories. In both the 2015 and 2016 competitions my partner and I finished first amongst 250+ of the top marketing students in Ontario. My partners and I were able to skillfully analyze and present viable options to a panel of judges consisting of industry experts. I am an eager young digital marketing professional with an appetite to bring effective campaigns into the market. My curiousity and thirst for knowledge drive my desire for growth.
