ABOUT JOHN ASHLEY

I’m a senior business leader in power conversion and power systems, with a track record of leading organisations in complex, highly regulated environments• Over the last 25+ years, I’ve built, scaled, and directed organisations across UPS, BESS, industrial, medical, automotive, aerospace, defence, and renewables markets.• I’m recognised for deep technical authority and credibility in power systems and power electronics combined with a strong commercial lens. This allows me to translate complex engineering capability into repeatable products and service models, improve lifecycle value, and strengthen long term customer relationships.• My focus is on creating commercially strong, resilient businesses, setting strategy, owning P&L, and aligning people, technology, and operations to deliver sustainable growth. I’ve led multi-disciplinary teams across sales, engineering, operations, and service, and I’m comfortable operating at board and investor level.• I’m a Chartered Engineer with an MBA (Distinction), and I’ve worked internationally across EMEA, APAC, and global supplier and manufacturing networks.• I’m particularly interested in leadership roles where strategy, execution, and technology intersect, whether as Director, General Manager, or C level depending on the business maturity and growth phase.
