The Director of Public Property reports to the Mayor and the Chief Operating Officer and is responsible for all land, buildings and other structures owned by or under the control of the city, with the exception of land owned by the Parks Department. The Director is responsible for maintenance, planning, design, construction, alterations, repairs and capital improvement projects, and is also responsible for the administration and operation of the Purchasing Department, for all purchase and procurement of materials, supplies, contractual services, and equipment for the city.
