Providing strategic Fire Safety advice and guidance on fire issues as they relate to both Fire and CDM Regulations on major residential and commercial projects.Silvertown Road Tunnel – RiverlinxAs the appointed Tunnel Safety Officer, I develop Tunnel Operational and Emergency procedures, emergency exercise planning and TDSCG Consultation, in line with National Highways CD 352, CS 452 and CM 430.Limerick Road Tunnel – Direct RouteI am the appointed Tunnel Safety Officer, in line with the requirements of Directive 2004/54/EC on road tunnel safety management, for the Limerick Tunnel in Ireland.In this role, I develop the tunnel operational and emergency procedures, emergency exercise planning and Emergency Planning Group (EPG) Consultation. He oversees the production of systems, procedures, and strategies for the safe operation of Limerick Tunnel and promotes, facilitates, monitors, and advises on all aspects of the road tunnel operational safety issues. I collaborate with and assists service providers, emergency services and suppliers to establish safe working regimes.Gibraltar Airport – RambollAs the Tunnel Safety Officer, I provide support on the review of operations and maintenance requirements for the Gibraltar Airport Tunnel. This includes reviewing the tunnel operational and emergency procedures, emergency exercise planning and is also developing a scope of works to support the operational development in preparation for the tunnel opening.I provide strategic Fire Safety advice and guidance on fire issues and how they relate to both Fire and CDM Regulations to various clients on major residential and commercial projects.• Currently Chair of the ITA Committee on Operational Safety of Underground Facilities (COSUF) Road Tunnel Safety Officers Group and the TSO forum organising committee.
