ABOUT JOHN ALBINSON

As a recent graduate of the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, Massachusetts, I have had various experiences throughout the last four years that have strengthened my passion for writing and editing. I interned in the social media department at CBS News in New York in the summer of 2017, which gave me my first glimpse into the world of media and news journalism. I was an editor on the school newspaper starting my sophomore year, and was the Chief Sports Editor during my junior and senior years.I was the president of the school\'s Creative Writing Club, and a co-chair on the English Student Advisory Committee, during my junior and senior years.I was also voted as co-captain of the cross country and track teams at Holy Cross, where we compete at the Division I level. I found this position to be challenging yet extremely rewarding, as I had to split my focus between my own personal goals and the goals and well-being of my teammates. This experience was incredibly gratifying, and I sincerely hope to be able to lead a group of people like this once more in the future.My classwork combined with my internship and volunteer work helped me become a better leader, strengthened my passion for writing and editing, and have given me indelible lessons in teamwork.
