As an experienced transaction lawyer, I lead the UP corporate legal team and counsel the business leaders for general corporate transactions, the Securities Act of 1933, reporting and compliance obligations under the Securities Exchange Act of 1934, corporate finance transactions, acquisitions and corporate governance.As assistant corporate secretary, I work with the senior leadership team and corporate secretary on all governance matters related to the board of directors. Additionally, I work with the chief compliance officer to lead a compliance team responsible for the company\'s compliance programs, efforts and ongoing relationship with our human resources (workforce resources) and internal audit team.Before law school, I earned my green belt Six Sigma certification while a lean leader at General Electric Healthcare. I was also a unit leader with Nestle Waters North America. Additionally, I was an officer in the U.S. Army, where I served as a tank platoon leader, mortar platoon leader and personnel company commander.
